What is a Porterhouse Steak?
A porterhouse steak is a cut that is taken from the hind of the short loin and tenderloin. When you pull out the bone that connects these two cuts in a porterhouse steak, you will have both a short loin and a tenderloin. This steak can be served sliced for easier eating or whole.
Porterhouse steak is similar to a T-Bone steak in appearance, but both have very distinct flavors. T-bone steak is also smaller compared to porterhouse steak, which has a larger muscle of the tenderloin.
