Quiche that has been heated up

Got leftover quiche? Stick it in the fridge and enjoy your egg bake the next day. This is how to heat up a quiche in different ways so that it’s always crispy and delicious.

When it comes to breakfast or brunch, you really can’t do much better than a cheesy, savory quiche. There are a ton of different ways to make them, which is one of the best things about this brunch staple.

You can make a full-size quiche in a pie plate or mini quiches in smaller baking dishes. No matter which size or flavor you make, they always taste the best when they are fresh out of the oven. The flaky, buttery crust and the fluffy egg filling are edible perfection.

Unfortunately, reheating a quiche can be problematic – you risk ending up with a crust that’s too soft or burning it.

Thankfully, there are some simple ways to heat up a quiche that keeps it flaky and delicious.

There’s definitely a right and wrong way to heat up a quiche. Thankfully, we’ve got this guide for you. Read through all these tips and hacks, and you’ll have a quiche that tastes like it’s fresh out of the oven, even days later.

How to heat up a quiche in the oven

The oven is the best way to heat up a quiche. You’ll need some aluminum foil or a pie shield to protect the crust so it doesn’t burn.

You will want to reheat the quiche at medium heat – 350F is the most popular temperature.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Let the quiche come to room temperature.
  3. Completely cover up the crust with some aluminum foil.
  4. Heat up the quiche for 15-20 minutes.
  5. You’ll know it’s ready when the middle of the quiche reaches an internal temperature of 165F.

How to reheat a quiche in the microwave

This is not ideal for reheating a quiche because the microwave tends to soften the flaky crust. In order to prevent it from becoming soggy, adjust the power setting and use either low or medium power.

  1. Bring the quiche to room temperature.
  2. Place the quiche on a microwave-safe plate, and do not cover it.
  3. Heat on low to medium power for two minutes.
  4. Check the internal temperature. If it isn’t 165F yet, heat it back up at 30-second intervals, checking the temperature after each one.

How to heat up a quiche in a toaster oven

This is a super-fast method that keeps the crust nice and crispy.

  1. Preheat the toaster oven to 375F.
  2. Take the quiche out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
  3. Completely cover up the crust with aluminum foil to prevent it from burning.
  4. Heat up your quiche for about 10 minutes.
  5. Check the internal temperature – it should reach 165F.

How to reheat a quiche in an air fryer

This is a really quick and easy way to reheat your quiche! Many air fryers don’t need to be preheated, but please check your user manual to see if yours needs to preheat first.

  1. Allow the cold quiche to come to room temperature.
  2. Place the quiche in the air fryer basket. If the pie plate fits in the basket, you can place the entire thing in it.
  3. Then, cook it in the air fryer at 380F for about 10 minutes.
  4. Keep cooking it until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
